1896 TUNG KUNG Tungkuan was an important local trading centre located approximately 50 kilometres northeast of Canton. Even though it was not a Treaty Port, because of its importance, it well could have been considered worthy of a local post service. Therefore, this could have been an essay for such a projected service.
